Currently I am paying $514.03, every WEEK to cover my family of four. Our employers do NOT cover a huge chunk of the costs. Since most of the companies I've looked at have similar rates, I have the freedom to choose a company not by pricing, but by how good they actually are. I've spent hours searching reviews of all the major players, and I've seen almost exclusively horror stories about how bad the companies are once you file a claim. Geico, Allstate, and especially progressive (defended policyholders killer in court to weasel out of paying out claim), all seem to have a pretty bad reputation among their customers. Now I'm not a fool, I understand that most reviews are written by people who have been wronged. People are much less likely to write a positive review because their company has followed through, as this is what is to be expected in the first place. It is entirely possible that behind that sour review, there are several satisfied customers who didn't feel a need to review their service. If any of those people read this, please help me out with this choice. Okay December 22 2012 I went to Eldorado Motor to Finance a nice car! I'm 18 had no credit but I held a job since I was 16! Anyways I got Approved! I picked out a Red 2001 Ford Focus! Its was 7, 000 butt after everything was said and done it all added up to like 10, 000! Anyways when I got the car I didn't know they wouldn't let me leave with the car unless I had insurance! So after I gave the $500 Down payment! They was like alright all we need is proof of insurance & sign some paper work and its mine! Well I only had like 600 bucks and 100 left after I gave the down payment...I told them I wouldn't be able to get insurance until next payday cause I was broke! They worked with me and said how much will it cost you for insurance? I told them it depends on if I needed Liability or full coverage! They said all you need is liability! I was in shook! I clarified like twice if I could get Liability? They said yes! So I called State Farm got a 220 quote and Eldorado Motor dropped my down payment to 300 and refunded me 200 So II paid for insurance! And was rolling! Butt I do remember asking what happens if I wreak? They told me they had a repair shop and all I would have to do is pay a 200 dollar deductible! And they would repair it and just tack the rest of the repairs on my car note! So fast forward like 4 months its April 12 2013 I was in a hurry Tailgating a Truck and finally this ttuck in front of me swerved into the next lane! I thought the Truck was getting outta my way so I could go ahead of him turms out he swerved around a turning car! And I couldn't stop in time and I rear ended the car turning!!! So the Truck drives off and I got out checked on everybody no one was hurt! But my car and the guy I hit the cars was Totaled I could tell by just looking at it! Anyways my Liability insurance covered the guy I hit but not me!!! Why does the 2000 - 2005 Honda Insight have group 12 insurance status in the UK?! Its such a shame, I have been looking to upgrading my small car at the moment, and have always liked the old Insight. For some strange reason it didn't ever seem to take off, and it was way ahead of its time, and is still a very good, one of the best ever mass manufactured cars for fuel consumption (may even be the best). It has a 1 litre engine, which produces just 66bhp, but is extremely efficient so achieves 83MPG and has a 0-60 time of 12.1s (top speed: 112mph). Remember group 12. Or I could pick out a Seat Toledo 2 litre Sport - produces 147bhp, 34MPG, has a 0-60 time of 9.4s (top speed: 128mph). This is a group 10. Why isn't the insight lower?!?!!?!??!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!? I found out that my employer was taking over $800.00 a month for health insurance. When I found out I ask to cancel insurance and get my own. I call the insurance company cancelled it on March 11, 2010 they confirmed it was cancelled. My employer is still taking the payment out of my check. Since my pay period ended for 31 they took another full month of insurance. I have not used this insurance and I can't use it because they cancelled on March 11, 2010. My employer claims it was effective cancelled for April 1, 2010. Can they do that?

Hi peeps. I Have a question about car insurance. I am basically looking for qualified guesses from people who have previous experience with this sort of thing. I am a first year driver. Im 21 and i passed my test in early August and was driving straight away because i had bought my car the month before hand. The car i own is a 1.4 Ford Fiesta Zetec 2002. I paid around 1250 for the year for insurance and i did it through Quinn Direct. My question is, does anybody know a rough figure of what it might be next year baring in mind i have never claimed? I have tried running new quotes on comparison websites but they are based on new customers and all come out at around 1500 to 4000 If anyone has used this company or even another company and situation was similar could you please tell me the rough figure of what it was reduced to/from just so i can maybe have an idea of what to expect Any help is greatly appreciated. Where can I get cheap health insurance in NYC as an individual with a relatively low deductible & low premium?

Is that even possible? My reasoning is this: I am 26 and I am self-employed. I am basically just looking for a bare bones plan that will have the lowest premium possible and I actually care more about emergency care than doctors visits. You see, I don't get sick often and don't plan to go to the doctor a whole lot...I just want something in case of an accident and the whole low premium w/ high deductibles thing won't help me...I'll be stuck with a sky high bill to pay off if I stay in the hospital. I'd rather have emergency coverage and simply pay out of pocket for a doctor if I have to. Is there a plan out there in NY that fits this? Anyone know? HELP! I make too much money to qualify for Healthy NY or another low income program..but not enough to reasonably afford a normal healthcare plan when factoring in rent and student loans. (If this isn't a reason for universal healthcare in the US, I don't know what is)

Living in North Carolina and both households get along well but adding the teenager is crazy expensive. I'm looking for off-the-cuff insight. If a vehicle is registered and garaged at one house, and the teen has his license from the other parents' address, it should not be necessary to add the teen to the policy, because in essence, he is borrowing' the vehicle. Right? For clarification: I have a vehicle for him to drive. If he gets his license at the other parents house, but drives my vehicle, he shouldn't have to be insured by us because he's not driving a vehicle within his household. Thanks for any help
